Richard and I talk about his not-very-linear path to running one of the most successful sports betting companies of all time, whether anyone has the talent, assets, and timing to recreate Sky Bet’s success (so far, the industry’s attempts to merge betting and media have come up well short), and how to create a sustainable betting industry.
This was a fun conversation filled with numerous insights throughout, but the one that stuck out most to me was the importance of timing, being in the right place, at the right time, with the idea.
