Episode 26: Micro-Betting with Tomash Devenishek

Kero Sports CEO & Founder Tomash Devenishek discusses the micro-betting landscape and turning a vision into a reality.

One night, I woke up in the middle of the night, went to my office, and started writing things down. What I was writing down was that the sportsbook is very much a prosumer product. What I mean by "prosumer product" is that you use these very complicated tools to accomplish complicated objectives. You don't place a great emphasis on how usable or intuitive it is because you're an expert… And that was the insight. ~ Tomash Devenishek

In this episode, I’m joined by the CEO and Founder of Kero Sports, Tomash Devenishek. Tomash discussed the process of bringing Kero Sports from an idea on a piece of paper to a prototype to a proof of concept.

Tomash explained the inner workings of micro-betting, including its appeal, noting that people prefer mindless consumption and that micro-betting, even though it wasn’t called that, has been a part of betting since the beginning.

We also talked about one of the big stories in the space, the sale of Simplebet to DraftKings, and what that means for the sector - SPOILER ALERT: It was good for Kero Sports.
