Episode 32: Enter the Sports Betting VIP World with Dillon Borgida

Today's guest is Dillon Borgida, the the Vice President of VIP at Underdog Fantasy, who joined the pod to discuss anything and everything related to sports betting VIPs.

“So, I have always said that the idea is not to entice someone to gamble more. The idea is not to find a random rich person and convince them to be a gambler. That is predatory.”

~ Dillon Borgida

In this episode, I’m joined by Dillon Borgida, the Vice President of VIP at Underdog Fantasy.

This was a fun conversation that began with Dillon and me comparing our basketball bona fides and how I became aware of Dillon (thanks, X!) before delving into the murky depths of sportsbook VIP departments.

Dillon has taken an interesting path to becoming one of, if not the foremost thought leaders in the VIP space. He began as a customer support rep at FanDuel before finding his calling as a VIP host.

Dillon and I also discussed how customers are chosen for VIP status and how sites can strike a balance between their VIP programs and RG departments — For instance, Underdog has a policy that customers must be at least 25 to even be considered for VIP status.

You’ll also hear my surprise that Dillon doesn’t know the song Car Wash.
