“I talk to everybody. I try to pick people's brains, get feedback, get criticism of the things I say, and provide feedback on other people's thoughts. But there just seems to be a resistance to going deeper on these topics.”
Jamie Salsburg
In this episode of the Talking Shop Podcast, I was joined by Jamie Salsburg, who I consider the most uniquely knowledgeable person working in the responsible gambling and problem gambling space.
Jamie and I cover a lot of ground as we discuss the current shortcomings and where the industry, regulators, and the RG community need to move to get the results everyone wants.
One key area of discussion was moving away from feel-good policies and toward policies that deliver actual results. Another area was a general lack of curiosity and steadfast beliefs. Jamie and I both believe that the RG space needs to experiment more and bring in more outside opinions.
